Personnel Consultants Ltd was established in 1988 by David Rees, and has grown year on year since then.  We now have some 50 retained clients, and another 20 or so non-retained clients.  PCL has two Director Consultants, who between them have considerable and wide-ranging experience, covering every aspect of human resource management.  .  We offer a wealth and variety of experiences to draw upon to provide valued professional, practical 'hands on' advice and support.

 
 

David Rees

David’s background included an apprenticeship in precision engineering, followed by teaching in the public sector prior to his first HR appointment.  He subsequently held personnel and development posts over a period of 23 years in the manufacturing sector with Plessey, David Brown and GKN.  His final appointment included 10 years as Personnel Director.  This wide and varied personnel experience enabled him to successfully establish Personnel Consultants. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

   
 

Karen Liddington

Karen worked in HR management roles in the public sector, before spending 8 years working in the senior HR positions in the voluntary sector. She has worked independently for the past 6 years supporting many organisations with their HR management, specialising in remuneration, mentoring, specialist HR advice and interim management.  She joined Personnel Consultants Ltd as Director in 2003.

Karen has a BA(Hons) in French and Theology, a Certificate in Counselling Skills, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development..
